Hunters Pet Food – The Story

Hunters Pet Food began in 2007 when Lisa, a veterinary nurse was asked by many dog owners where they could buy natural, grain free dog food for their beloved pet and have it delivered.

Unable to find anything on the market that answered those needs, Lisa discovered a Lancashire company who source the very best ingredients, cooking low and slow to preserve the nutrients, and our own food brand Hunters was born. Lisa offered free home delivery, long before Amazon had really taken hold in the UK, ensuring customers didn’t need to worry about running out or carrying heavy bags. The food and the service proved to be a big success and today we are proud to serve customers across the region; from Preston, Blackburn, Darwen and Bolton to Wigan and Grimsargh and further afield through our website.

Now a family business, with Lisa’s step-son Adam leading the team. Our passionate team of animal lovers also bring expert knowledge to offer advice and ensure you have the very best products and service as standard. We believe in sourcing the best, delivering service with a smile and bringing expert advice, with the mission to build a business on service, quality products and expert advice.

All our qualty pet foods are made in a DEFRA Approved UK Factory here in Lancashire and contain natural ingredients, quality proteins and all the required minerals and vitamins.

If your bag has this factory number GB193E1446 (small black ink somewhere on the bag) then it has the same ingredients, just a slightly different recipe to ours.
